Do I need to be fit to start training?
Absolutely not! Getting you fit is our job. A large portion of our adult students come to us specifically to lose weight and get back into shape after years of an inactive lifestyle. You will work entirely at your own pace as you build your stamina.
Am I too old to start martial arts?
You are never too old to begin. We have adults training with us well into their 50s and 60s. Our instructors are highly experienced at modifying exercises and techniques to perfectly suit your specific age, mobility, and fitness level.
Will I get hurt? Do I have to spar?
Safety is our highest priority. In our striking programs, the vast majority of your training is done on pads and heavy bags. Live sparring is strictly optional and only permitted for advanced students in a heavily controlled environment.
How do I know which program is right for me?
The best way to find out is to try it! We offer a specialized introductory period where you can test out a few different styles to see whether grappling, striking, or traditional martial arts best fits your personality.
